A Classic, Toasty Green Tea with Centuries of Heritage
Discover the invigorating taste of Dragonwell Organic Green Tea, also known as Longjing — one of China’s most treasured teas. Grown in the serene landscapes of Hangzhou in the Zhejiang province, Dragonwell is harvested in early April following the Qingming festival, when the leaves are at their most tender.
Each leaf is hand‑pressed into its signature spear‑like shape and pan‑fired in a hot wok, creating a smooth, toasty, delicately nutty flavor. Dragonwell offers a fresh, bright cup that can be savored on its own, honoring a tradition steeped in excellence and natural goodness.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: A fresh, toasty lift rises from the cup — warm pan‑fired notes layered with soft chestnut sweetness and a hint of spring greens. The aroma feels bright, clean, and quietly invigorating.
- Flavor: Smooth and delicately nutty, with Dragonwell’s signature toasted‑green character. Tender early‑spring leaves create a gentle sweetness, balanced by subtle mineral warmth and a crisp vegetal clarity. The sip is refined, mellow, and beautifully rounded.
- Finish: Clean, bright, and lightly sweet with lingering chestnut warmth and a soft green freshness. The finish feels refreshing and serene — a steady, invigorating calm.
- Mood: Clear, uplifting, and quietly energizing. A cup that feels like a bright morning in early spring — focused, fresh, and naturally vibrant.
Organic Ingredients
Dragonwell Tea
Botanical name: Camellia sinensis
Naturally Occurring Constituents
Antioxidants, anti‑inflammatory components, flavonoids, iron, zinc, potassium, copper, magnesium, selenium, vitamin C, riboflavin (B2), vitamin E, and niacin (B3).
How to Prepare
Use 2 teaspoons of tea per 10 oz cup of water. Place tea in an infuser, pour just‑boiled water that has cooled slightly (about 180°F) over the leaves, cover, and steep for 2 minutes.
Sweeten if desired. Enjoy hot or iced.
A Note on Steeping
- Do not over‑steep — Dragonwell becomes very bitter if left too long.
- Second Steep
This tea can be steeped twice. For the second cup, steep 1 minute longer than the first. The second infusion will taste slightly sweeter.
