Useful for: staying more alert, focused and awake. Some people find it helps with head pain.
Use: Use in well ventilated rooms, away from pet bowls. Set timer on diffuser for 30 mins. Diffuse for short amounts of time.
Cautions: avoid peppermint in instance of cardiac fibrillation (heart palpitations, flutters, irregular heart beat) peppermint may make that worse, and by those with a G6PD deficiency; do not diffuse near children under age 5-can cause breathing issues; do not diffuse peppermint near pets.

Good practices:
- Never run a diffuser all night long, in closed spaces.
- Use good ventilation, and diffuse for shorter periods of time. (30-60 mins for most blends is sufficient.)
- Take breaks from the diffusing so your body can relax, prevent overexposure, and allow your body to process the oils in a healthy manner.
- A diffuser break can be a few hours; 30 mins on, 30 mins off cycle; or diffusing once a day for limited time.
- If you are using a cold water based diffuser, be sure and clean it well in between uses to prevent mold/mineral build up. (Distilled water is recommended by most diffuser makers.)
- Always be careful diffusing around pets (especially water and food bowls). Be sure they can leave the area as needed.
- Diffusing around young children: diffusing oils for babies under 6 months is not recommended. Specific oils have more age cautions than others due to their impact on breathing and respiratory issues that can result.
